HI! I'M STACY
While I don't have a dramatic weight gain/loss story, I am no stranger to the damaging effects of diet culture that I picked up at a very early age. In the past, I have struggled with my own disordered eating habits and an unhealthy obsession with food.
In 2016, I made a career change and attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. There, I completed a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition and graduated with honors.
I secretly had hoped to uncover the "perfect diet" but instead left with the realization that the best way to eat is highly individual and requires trial and error. It really isn't a one-size-fits-all, and it's certainly not going to be found in a celebrity magazine. (Bummer, right?)
In some ways, this was disappointing, but on the other hand, this was also very empowering. Plus, with age and wisdom, I was able to accept that there were some things about my body that I was going to have to accept.
I then went to work and created the program that I myself would have benefited from years ago: a program with a holistic approach to health, built on solid science and nutrition facts but also addressing the intricacies of one's lifestyle, beliefs, and preferences. And most importantly, I created a program that holds women accountable for their choices and challenges them in a positive, empathetic and supportive environment. So many of us feel isolated and alone in our health or weight loss journey which makes it really hard to keep consistent.
When I’m not coaching, eating, or trying out a new recipe, you’ll catch me hanging out with my daughter & husband, working out (I love barre, spin and tennis) or watching my favorite reality TV program, 90-Day Fiancé!
I practice in my hometown of Calgary, AB but because most of my work is done online — I am available for consultations or coaching wherever it is that you happen to call home.
